MAKERS & THINKERS ART RESIDENCY AT CASA JULFA
In June 2022, Jordan created a body of work centred around lineage and loss at Casa Jula - an artist’s residency in France. Working with the local plants, textiles and landscape she produced a series of pieces that reflected the grief she was experiencing. The River Sister collection is an ode to the domestic relationship and generational skills often passed between women, such as patchwork, hair braiding, foraging and dressmaking. Her daily walks around the river were a time for consolation and reflection but an opportunity to gather plants for dyes. Jordan chose to work with medicinal wild plants and trees, including mugwort, nettle, alder and willow, and antique fabrics and garments sourced from the local town.
COPPEN STUDIOS X SALT TEXTILES COLLABORATION
To celebrate the launch of COPPEN STUDIOS, founder Lauren and Jordan collaborated on a set of botanically dyed silk scarves.
Inspired by the timeless designs and colours of the garments, Jordan hand-dyed each scarf using pigments from black tea, red madder, cutch and bay leaves.

SALT X TERRA ANCESTRAL COLLABORATION
Ahead of an upcoming residency at Terra Ancestral’s sister atelier, Maison Salvadore, SALT and Terra collaborated on a small collection of aprons. A style for each space, inspired by craft, colour and heritage. The aprons were thoughtfully designed to be functional for everybody and reflect the spaces they are worn in. Salvadore’s aprons are hand-made from antique linen sourced from the local French markets, the history of the village woven into the fabric.
Terra’s aprons are an ode to the traditional Mexican apron worn by Adriana and her fellow craftswomen. The cotton for the Terra aprons is woven by families in the ancient Zopetic community of Mitla, where cotton (or manta as it is called there) has been produced in small family workshops for hundreds of years. Arriving in London the aprons were then slowly hand-dyed using botanical pigments of Woad and Cutch, inspired by the Mexican morning sky and the earthy tone of the French Clay.

Naturally dyed pressed hemp coasters for the launch of Margent Farm at Omved Gardens.
Margent Farm grow sustainable and environmentally friendly hemp crops for both the circular economy and lifestyle.
FIBRE AND FORM WORKSHOP
A collaborative workshop with artist and spinner Jessica Mason. Fibre and Form was an explorative morning, teaching guests about natural fibres, traditional spinning processes and equipment, mordants, natural dyes and experimental textile techniques.
THE COAL OFFICE LAUNCH
SALT bespoke dyed 150 chef uniforms for The Coal Office launch, as part of a three day residency at Tom Dixon in Kings Cross.
The Coal Office is a conceptual restaurant by Chef Assaf Granit & British designer Tom Dixon.
SALT X KARINA ZIMMER
